It's such a wonderful path :) I wonder if it was there when Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks used to visit Central Park?

What a wonderfully romantic park. I can't help but think about the story of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbank driving through Central Park. He was telling Mary about his mother's recent death and when he finished his story the clock in the car stopped.

They book took it as a sign that his mother approved of their love. "By the clock" became their secret code for I Love You.

From what I saw on a documentary, on his deathbed Douglas Fairbanks asked someone to give Mary a final message: "By the Clock."

There are probably hundreds of romance stories about Central Park.

When my father was dating my mother, they drove through the park and a bullet wizzed through the car window.A very freak accident!
My mother had bent over to find a small gift she had for my father. If she had not, she would have been killed.
He always said her love saved her.
