All Alone in the City

Simply stunning. Ah, I'm viewing this while listening to the lovely music on your blog--Theme from Indecent Proposal--lovely.

I would love walking alone in these surroundings.

(Did you capture your shadow in the lower left of the screen? I hope that if you're alone you're not lonely)

i assume it's my shadow, i try to go after a snowfall but the bridge is still often crowded so actually getting this kind of photo is tricky and requires maneuvering

some people can be lonely in a room full of people

Very true.

As for your shadow, if you were wearing a scarf it's probably you. Glad you're bundling up on your walks :)

BTW, I think the shadow whether by design or accident is very creative; it makes you a part of the creation but avoid the photographic equivalence of "author intrusion."

And, it's nice to see you, whether in shadow or in sunshine :)

I actually feel less lonely walking through Delaware Park by Hoyt Lake or on the River Walk. Without people around judging me, criticizing me, I feel at home even while alone in nature.

well it's better than calling it a ruined photo, i tend to get obsessive on such points but hard to avoid shadows in certain times of the day

yes I know what you mean, I feel better outside and away from people than in crowds and crowds of strangers have a very lonely effect
